Cover is provided for loss or damage caused by fire, storm, flood and theft (following forcible and violent entry to or exit from your accommodation). Cover for contents is provided on a replacement as new basis for items less than a year old (excludes clothes, household linen and pedal cycles where a deduction will be made for wear and tear).

What isn't covered
  • The first £50 of any claim you may need to make.
  • Loss or damage to mobile phones outside your accommodation.
  • Loss or damage to contents inside your accommodation, unless there are signs of forcible and violent entry or exit.
  • Cover when your house is unoccupied for more than 30 consecutive days.
  • Items are only covered if they are locked in a boot, concealed luggage compartment, or a closed glove compartment of a locked vehicle.
Please note that you should take all reasonable steps to prevent loss or damage to everything covered by this insurance and keep all property insured in good condition and in good repair. In the event of a claim we may want to see original documents, such as purchase receipts, guarantees and manuals confirming the amount of the claim and the make and model numbers of the items.
